Summer with Daddy

Hello All!!

As most of you know, Brayden spent the better part of the summer with his Dad in Austin. Brandon and Brayden had a great time and the proof is definitely in the pictures. Here are some photos from his time down south. :) These are INSIDE and in the next post you'll see the ones OUTSIDE ... where they spent plenty of time which is evident by my baby's tan. lol. :)

2009 Parks-Waters Family Reunion

On Brayden's great-grandfather's side of the family, this was our 25th Family Reunion and it was held in San Antonio, Texas! Sherry and I hosted and it turned out to be a really great time for everyone. This was Brayden's first trip to San Antonio (as I'm sure we'll be back), but he had an awesome time. We went to Sea World, the Alamo and took the Riverboat ride. I'll post the pics from Sea World later, but here are most of the pics. Enjoy!!

Night with the Naynie

Occasionally, my sister Sherry, Brayden's aunt, babysits he and his cousin JJ. Brayden calls her "Naynie". :) They have such a good time with her 'cause she is SUCH a good sitter. :) Here are some pics she took with her camera phone of their evening with her one night when she was sitting.

Updates @ 19 Months

Brayden is such a smart little boy. He catches on to words and vocabulary when we don't think he's listening! I was watching a basketball game and got really excited and said "yes!" ... then Brayden looked at me and said "yes!". I was like ... wow! Gotta be careful what I say. lol

Also, as I'm sure you figured out, he's pretty used to taking pictures so he says "Cheese" when I pull out the camera. :) Check him out in the video below ... "Shheesse"!!

Hi Five - Been hi-fivin' for about a year now.

He puts his hands together when it's time to say grace or say our prayers before bed.

He looks up and to the right, then busts out laughin' - when he's being silly ....

He knows how to point to all of his main body parts ... yes ALL. lol

He LOVES to act like he's driving when we go to arcades or amusement parks. I don't have to spend a dime. As long as he's sitting in front of a steering wheel, he's GOOD! :)

Sandy Lake Park

Brayden's cousin Caleb turned THREE and his party was at Sandy Lake Park this year. Sandy Lake Park is an amusement park that has a variety of toddler rides and a swimming pool for the kids. When I tell you that Brayden LOVES the water, know that I am telling NO lie. :) This little boys LOVES any kind of water, just like his Mama .... pools, baths, lakes, rain, ANY kind! We had a GREAT time and were both totally drained by the sun and pool by the time we got home so we went STRAIGHT to sleep. lol.

We really enjoyed spending Caleb's 3rd birthday with him. On to the pics ....

Radio Flyer

Brayden is growing so fast its MIND BLOWING. If I didn't know better I'd swear he grows about 1/4 in a day. :) He has a tricycle at his Dad's in Austin and here is a video of him pedaling down the sidewalk. Where did my little baby go?

Timeless Photography '09

Alrighty, if you look back in past posts you'll see my maternity pictures taken of me with Brayden in my belly at 9 months and then family pictures that were taken when he was about 2 months. Both sets were taken by Kelly Cassell (Timeless Photography) and they came out beautiful! It was time to take updated pics so of course she was the first I call. :)

So at 18 months, Brayden is posing like you wouldn't believe. He makes the funniest faces! The shoot, however, was not the easiest (as you could probably figure). He was more concerned with getting up to run around and play than getting his picture taken. lol. We had to bribe him with CHEERIOS to sit down! ... ha! It was the funniest thing. It took us almost three hours to get through it, but we did and Kelly got some GREAT shots! :) Here are the best of the day. Enjoy!
