Hair Cuts

Here's Brayden with 2 of his cousins Caleb (3) and Kaden (6). This is a picture of all 3 of them after fresh haircuts from Cousin Derrick. Brayden gets so excited when he knows we're going to visit my cousin Tiff and her boys. They are a mess when they get together I tell ya'! :)

Easter 2010

Happy Easter Everyone!

Let's look at these two pictures. Easter 2009 on the left and this Easter on the right. Look closely just above his lip in both. Tell me why he busted his lip both years the day before Easter Sunday. Boys, I tell ya'. *sigh* After he fell this year (at the Barber Shop), I looked at him, shook my head and said "seriously, Brayden. Again?". lol

However, even the busted lip couldn't take away from his clean little suit. Last year, I dressed him and this year his Dad hooked him up with the suit and the bomb basket. :)

Now who says my baby isn't serious about getting those eggs? He loved his Easter basket (and so did I.) As you can see it's shaped like Elmo and furry like him, too. :)

Cousins Pokey and Marchell did a fantastic job making the holiday special for the kids. Great food, a pinata, kites, kiddie grab bags, Easter egg hunts with $$ eggs, and much more. What a great time for our family.

Prayers

Last night brayden and I were saying his prayers and he says "God bless Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Papa, Popo, Nani ... (long pause) ... um, gabba gabba, muno, tutti, foofa, plex, lance rock, brobee, um .... that's it, Amen"! Yes, EVERYBODY in Yo Gabba Gabba land. ha! It took every inch of me not to bust out laughing. lol.

Gotta love 'em! :)

Playdates

Brayden has playdates with his friends and one of our favorite places to meet is Chuck E. Cheese, where a kid (and a parent) can be a kid!

Here a few pics of him shootin' hoops and playin' skeeball. He and I often battle it out on the skeeball board.

Time to go home ... which is always a task, but we eventually make it out ok. :)

Jordin's Birthday Bash

This was one of the most fun birthday parties! My friend Nichole has a daughter about 6 months younger than Brayden and her party had an American Idol theme. Complete with DJ, great food, kites, pinatas, etc, it was a great time. Nichole and I tease about Brayden being her son-in-law. Above is the grandmother-n-law. lol. It's too cute and the party was a great success. Here are a few pics. Happy Birthday Jordin!

Never Too Much 'No

As many of you know, this Winter we have had the most snow in Dallas on record! It snowed and snowed. Then snowed again and snowed a little bit more. Oh, did I say it snowed? ... lol. Just when everyone thought Spring was on the way, another cold front pushes through with precipitation clear through mid-March!

Well, needless to say, Brayden wasn't the least bit saddened by the weather. In the pictures above, he had run in the driveway without his hat. I was tellin' him to come back in, but he stood there and looked in the sky, mesmerized by the snow. We've had a great time building snowmen, baking cookies and drinking hot chocolate by the fireplace. Nope, there's never too much snow.

Here is the front of our house during one of the snowiest days. It was morning and there was about 4 inches on the ground with no reports of it letting up. By nightfall, there was close to a foot of "no" on the ground. :)

Brayden calls snow "no". He would wake me up in the morning and say, "Mommy, it's 'noing' in the grass outside." I'd bundle us both up so we could go outside and enjoy the "no". lol

He Can Get Out!

Soooo in January of 2010, in the funniest way, I found out Brayden can now get out of his CRIB!! One morning, I woke up and had a little face looking at me nose to nose around 6:00am.

After the initial shock, I immediately took him to his room, placed him back in his crib and asked him to show me how he got out. Turns out, he climbs over the side and lets his legs dangle over until his toes reach his toybox which sits directly next to his crib. ha! How clever! lmbo!!

Time to change over to his toddler bed ... :)
